2001
Introduction
When you write a site like this, or run the munches and groups that we ran, people tend to form an image of who you are. You are there dispensing all of this wisdom and are often therefore assumed to be somehow perfect. The reality is that we all make mistakes, we all get things wrong and we can all hurt sometimes.2001 was an incredibly hard year for kitten and I. A lot of who and what we are was turned on its head by changing circumstances and, to a degree, our own mistakes. Painful as it is to air all of them, hopefully by sharing we can let others know that they are not alone going through the difficult times.

An Apology - kitten to her Master
kitten looks at the mistakes she made through 2001: how she felt and how she reacted. Finally she finishes with an apology. To interrupt with my own feelings here: Perhaps in reading it you will get a sense of just how much it hurts to hear someone you love talking about so much pain that you should have been able to prevent. Still, with the apology given, with feeling out in the open, I have been able to accept it and we have been able to start healing, even becoming stronger. Hopefully that thought makes all of the sadness involved worthwhile.
Long Term Problems
This piece was written a couple of months before the others but never put on the site. It looks at my perspective of what happened and how I began to realise my mistakes and address them. Ironically, it also talks about seeing the big picture. If you have read kitten's pieces first, you will see how I still failed to see everything. Still, for all of that, maybe by putting my failings on display the article and I, myself, gain something.
