Different Pierces

We've tried to include all of the pierces we can think of. If you know of one that's not included, let us know - the email link is at the bottom.

Ear

Cartilage

The outermost part of your ear, running from the top, down the side to the lobe.

Lobe

This is the typical ear-pierce, through the lobe (dangly bit) of the ear. It goes through from front to back.

Rook

The rook is the top-most ridge of cartilage inside the ear. (Not the top of the ear, or the ridge that surrounds the ear-drum, the one between those two.)

Snug

This pierce goes through the edge, at the top (furthest out point from the drum), of the surrounding canal to your ear-drum, at the back (furthest point from your nose).

Tragus

This is the flap that sticks out, almost over the canal to your ear drum.

Transverse Lobe

This also goes through the lobe, but rather than front to back, it goes from inside to outside. There is also the vertical transverse lobe which goes from top to bottom.

Eyebrow

Bridge

Through the bridge of the nose. Usually horizonal rather than vertical.

Eyebrow

It pretty much speaks for itself, through the furry bit on the brow of your eye.

Female Genital

Clitoral Hood

Vertically or horizontally through the soft bit of skin that covers the clitoris.

Clitoris

Through the clitoris, taking care not to damage the nerve. Behind the main 'stem' of the clitoris.

Triangle

Behind the clitoris, through both inner labia.

Princess Albertina

An internal pierce, from the urethra to the inner wall of the vagina.

Fourchette

A piercing that is highly dependent on anatomy (not every woman is built to accept it). If the anatomy is right, through the tag of skin between the vagina entrance and anus.

Inner labia

Through the inner labial lips.

Outer labia

Through the outer labial lips. Again, highly dependent on anatomy.

Christina

Through the pudendum (padded triangle of hair) to the top of the outer labia.

Lip

Cheek

From the inside to the outside of your cheeks.

Horizontal-Lip

As a normal lip pierce but horizontally.

Labret

From the inside of your mouth to the outside, below the bottom lip.

Lip

Through the lip.

Madonna

From the inside of your mouth to the outside, above the top lip, on the left hand side. (Also see Monroe)

Medusa

From the inside of your mouth to the outside, above the top lip, in the centre, in the cupid's bow.

Monroe

From the inside of your mouth to the outside, above the top lip, on the right hand side. (Also see Madonna)

Scrumper

Through the flap of skin that connects your top lip to your top gum, at the front.

Male Genital

Ampallang

Horizontally through the glans.

Apadravyas

Vertically through the glans.

Dolphin

This pierce runs in the direction of the length of the penis, on the underside, on the shaft. Essentially a frenum that has been rotated ninety degrees.

Dydoe

This pierce runs through the outer "lip" of the glans, right where it joins the shaft.

Foreskin

A pierce through the foreskin, so one side is inside the rolled foreward foreskin and one side is outside.

Frenum

This one sits underneath the shaft, from left to right, usually just through the skin. From experience, it's less than half a second of pain, a very quick healer and it makes partners very happy. ("Oh my! Oh my god! Every guy should get one of those!" - kitten)

Frenum Ladder

A series of frenum pierces, in a row, creating a "ladder".

Guiche

The ridge running between scrotum and rectum.

Hafada

See "scrotal".

Prince Albert

Entering through the underside, at the very base of the glans, this pierce re-emerges through the urethra. Also see Reverse Prince Albert.

Pubic

Through the pubic area, just above the penis.

Prince's Wand

The prince albert for those who really don't know when to stop *joke*. This is a bar that runs the entire length of the urethra. There is a side piece that comes off and emerges where the entry point of a traditional prince albert would go in.

Reverse Prince Albert

The same as a normal prince albert but this one enters at the top of the glans, at the very base, rather than the bottom.

Scrotal

Through the skin of the scrotal sack. Also see "hafada".

Navel

Horizonal-Navel

Horizontally, above, but close-to, the navel.

Inverse-Navel

From the bottom, below the navel, through to the inside of the navel, vertically.

Navel

From the top, above the navel, through to the inside of the navel, vertically.

Outie

Through the bulge of flesh in an outie navel.

Nose

Nostril

Through the side of your nostril, from the inside to the outside.

Septum

The central part of the nose, dividing the two nostrils.

Tongue

Centre-Tongue

A vertical pierce through the centre of the tongue.

Horizontal-Tongue

A horizontal pierce through from the left- to the right-side of your tongue.

Off-Centre-Tongue

A vertical pierce, through the tongue, off either side of centre.
